Dan and Marja Stack would like to achieve a better than $0.20/kgDM gross margin by: changing (optimising) live weight gain (consuming minimum of feed to get to killable weight)

They plan to do this by:

-Adopting the gold standard in animal health (drenching interval no longer than 28 days for Autumn/Winter).

-Mob size no larger than 190.

-Winter breaks no longer than 7days.

Tactics/Actions:

Batch weigh all animals when through yards. Record LWG during season.
Accurate feed budgeting/recording.
All financials of deer gross margin.

Outcome/Results:

To come.....the stack's will report on progress made from weighing and recording animals at smaller intervals and using feed budgeting to plan ahead for feed crunch periods.
